It's official ... I have a Valentine!
Okay, okay he is three years old but still.. I've got one.
The little boy that I babysit, Oscar, surprised me this morning with a homemade valentine's day card and a box of Godiva chocolates - gosh, he is only three and still knows how to win over the ladies. My card is a beautiful piece of red construction paper with carefully placed scribbles of blue, red and orange magic markers. The chocolates are a delectable selection of Godiva's finest!
Yum! He proceeded to help me unwrap the box and pick out the first chocolate I should try... of course, he picked out the truffle - my favorite! As I was driving home down Kelly Drive I realized something... I should always have a three-year-old valentine. Duh! Why didnt I think of this sooner? He is adorable, he always lets me know how he feels, and he doesn't expect anything in return. Playing with his Thomas the train table is gift enough for him. And then to top off all of this sweetness, as I am leaving he says "Happy Valentine's Day. Thanks for the chocolates!" Lol. What a cutie!
